So, I thought the flower process would be relatively easy. We met with another two places in my area who other girls claimed on another board will work within your budget, heard that before. The first place was $1000 more then one of my quotes and 700-800 more then all of my other quotes for the same exact things, same flowers, everything. When I saw the quote I almost feel off my chair so I brought it home and read it though since the price just seemed way too high. I found 3 things included that we NEVER spoke about, including 100 for a sweatheart table, 260 for church flowers that I said I did not want. I actually find this pretty shady that the guy added this all in. The 1 place that was the cheapest, FH didn't really care for the guy we met with, I lost the contract so I forgot exactly what type of flowers he was going to use and FH was in a terrible mood that day so he was hardly listening as the guy spoke. They gave us the best price though, so would it make sense to go back and ask to meet with someone different or just go back meet with the same guy and have him go over the quote again with us? I love the price but then I think maybe the centerpieces won't look as nice since the price is so low.

Re: Flower Vent
UUghh for flowers. I haven't started that process yet. I am not yet up for dealing with that!
Good luck. Keep an open mind and hopefully FH will be able to also!

Re: Flower Vent
my florist also added in stuff we never spoke about or did I want. like flowers for the cake, throaway bok and additional bouts. I just told them to remove that. I think they just have certain things come standard in and then u ask to remove. florists =

Re: Flower Vent
flowers was one of the hardest vendors for us to choose - we didn't care to spend much on flowers... some quoted us a ridiculous amount and kept adding stuff and some florist kept changing the flowers that we already knew we wanted (which we hated).

i actually loved choosing my flowers.... Gina is such a doll... not pushy worked with budget... she is amazing. Maybe u should think about another vendor if your not happy. It should not be stressing you out...

I don't know where you went, but I know that the florist we ultimately went with (Virgil at Pedestals) used a checklist sheet and wrote the amounts in AS we discussed - no surprises once we left with the worksheet.... Another florist just gave us the price for high and low cp's and seemed to just make up an overall figure at the end after everything else!

Oh no!! Jen at Verbena wasn't pushy at all. I even went with a friend who is also a bride on a strict budget and Jen even gave her suggestions on how to save!

Re: Flower Vent
if you are still looking, Try Flowers and Designs by Gina. She is very reasonable, will work with you on your budget to make sure you get the most for your budget, does stunning work, and will usually do a sample centerpiece or bouquet for you when you go to meet with her, so you know her style and work when you are deciding.
We booked with her, and she has been our favorite vendor so far!
