We are down to deciding between these 2 venues. So far Majestic is a little more affordable, has the nicer ballroom, and seems more willing to work with us on the menu. Especially since we are being picky on the beer selection. On the other hand we like Flowerfield's ceremony site, cocktail hour space, and grounds much better. The reviews seem to favor Flowerfield but both have generally positive reviews. Any advice would be much appreciated.
majestic gardens! the food there is amazing and im a picky eater. olympia and john are amazing too. i went to flowerfield for a wedding last year and i have to say the only thing i enjoyed was the salad.

I just booked with Flowerfield for Fall 2013! My FH is a beer 'snob' and he wants to have all different specialty beers and Oktoberfest kind of beers and they said we could bring in whatever we wanted. We may even go right to the distributor because it would be cheaper than having Flowerfield get it for us. Also, she told us that there are many other choices for the menu besides what came in the packet, and if we didn't see something we wanted then she would give us more. I agree you can beat the ceremony site there. Thats why I loved it. Rain or shine still beautiful! Also, they are willing to come down on the price so just ask! :) HTH
I am having my wedding at Flowerfield. Just had my final tasting for the menu...and the food WAS AMAZING. I know they said they would fix the menu any way we wanted and how flexible they were when it came to the food choices. I was basically told...whatever I wanted I could have. I went to majestic gardens when looking...thought the staff was nice...but it wasn't what we were looking for. You can negotiate the price there....just see what they are willing to do for you!!
Thanks for the thoughts. We also have a beer snob here. That's one of the things we liked about Majestic gardens is we wanted to take away all of the existing choices and swap in a few good options instead and they said no problem; while Flowerfield says that even if they take away all the options they give us we still have to pay to bring in our own beer. Both places everyone seems to like the food. With the quotes we got it comes out to about $3,500-$4,000 more for us to go to Flowerfield + any beer we buy to bring in. Has anyone here dealt with Heather from Flowerfield before? I've seen lots of positive reviews about Olympia our contact from majestic on here. Thanks again everyone for your help narrowing down this big decision.
Never dealt with Heather....I am dealing with Kerry Pacella from Flowerfield. She truly is amazing and has given us everything we have asked for. Either way..I am sure you will have an amazing wedding. Go with what your heart is telling you!!

We went to a wedding at FlowerField over 5 years ago and we are still talking about it. The food, the service and the grounds were top notch. That was our first pick for halls but it was out of our price range. If you can swing it, I think you will not be disapointed!

I wanted thank you all for your advice. We just made our decision and ended up booking with Flowerfield. Can't wait for the tasting and of course the big day. Thanks again for the help
