Flowerfield Review!

Flowerfield Review!

My cousin got married yesterday!! He had a morning wedding at Flowerfields and it was amazing.

When we first got there they were having a hospitality hour outside. Since it was so early they had a mini breakfast buffet. They were serving water, orange juice, cranberry juice, coffee, and tea. They had crumbcake, and mini muffins and scones to munch on.

The tables had umbrellas which was good, b/c it was HOT out. the shade was nice.

The ceremony was outside in the gazeobo and they had mini bottles of water to bring with you b/c there was no shade over there. Honestly, the only thing i wasnt a fan of was the ceremony location, b/c the sun was BRUTAL. however, the ceremony was gorgeous and i loved that they had permanent benches to sit on instead of standing or using folding chairs.

The cocktail hour room is amazing. The indoor pond with giant koi was a huge hit. the food was DELICIOUS.
I had some of their fried rice, gyoza, and spring rolls. I also had some loin of pork, and a ton of stuff from their cheeze table. I had seconds of everything.
FH and my MOH and her boyfriend enjoyed the crab cakes, lambchops, sushi, oysters and clams as well.
Apparently the lambchops were amazing and i have to be sure to tell anyone getting married there to have them as an option.

the reception room was set up very nicely, the dj was right on the dance floor. he played a ton of good music, but most of it wasnt dance music. I wound up doing the electric slide with my cousin and her daughter to get people up on the dance floor.

I would suggest having a light show or something of the sorts that makes the dance floor more inviting. most people seem more comfortable dancing when it's not just in the middle of a brightly lit room.

the service was amazing, the waitress was constantly refolding our napkins and taking away empty glasses. she was very pleasant. the bar tender was hysterical and you could tell my moh and i were amusing her with our stupid and/or complicated requests.
at one point i just went over and said... 'can you surprise me with something yummy and blue?' and she made a drink, tasted it, and said 'not bad' it was amazing. i had to go and ask her what she made b/c i wanna make them at home. she giggled b/c she wasnt sure what she would call it.
the drinks were strong, but not too strong to enjoy, they had a fantastic arrangement of liquor.

the bride and groom requested no shots, but we have a tradition that we do at every wedding, so we tipped the bar tender and she gave us one full glass of what we asked for and three empty ones. there is always a way around the NO SHOT RULE.

it was amazing. they looked so happy and everyone left in a good mood.

the only thing i really didnt like was that some of their valet drivers looked like there were 12 (they obviously werent) but it made some people nervous about handing their keys over. I also didnt like that the kid that went to get our car couldnt figure out how to start her. She's got a trick ignition, but anyone who parks cars as their job should know how to start her. when we pulled around with her the head valet laughed at the kid and said 'i told you it was ....' and we drove off.

YUP i was in the BP at that wedding for Danielle.

here's a link to my post with pics: Dani's Wedding

Bemyoko---its so funny cause when you were partying it up at FF at the reception---the entire BP for MrsDaniRella was hanging out at the cottage next to FF! We were there at around 3:30ish -- and I was like 'Dangit, i wish that other wedding would end so i could chill in the bridal suite!'
but the cottage was pretty freaking sweet too.

congrats to your cousin!
