Flowerfields or Russo's?!

Flowerfields or Russo's?!

Hi girls, I am new to LI weddings (yay!) and was hoping you could help... My FH and I pretty much have it narrowed down to Flowerfields and Russo's on the Bay. We love them both for different reasons... and thats why we are having such a hard time! Can you please give me your opinions (good and bad!) on either or both? Thanks so much for your help!

FLOWERFIELD.

MY WEDDING WAS PERFECTION

The food is amazing, the service was OUTSTANDING. At the end of the night the give you entrees and wedding cake and pastries and champagne to take back with you and your husband because they know how sometimes you wont have a chance to eat. My bridal attendant was an angel. She did EVERYTHING for me including changing my shoes for me when she thought my feet were hurting.

AMAZINGGGG!!!!

Congrats!

I've been to both and love both. They're two completely different looks, imo. Russo's is opulent while Flowerfield has a more romantic tone to it.

Service is great at both locations but I preferred Russo's CH over FF's.

I LOVEEEE Russo's On The Bay!

Ruses hands down. Every party gets 12 food choices. They make stunning cakes. Service is impeccable and facility is beautiful. Plus you're treated with respect!

I agree with the first post; The two venues are so different. Russo's has that marble, chandelier, done-up feeling. Flowerfield has a more elegant, subdued feel to me. It's really a matter of personal preference in the end.

Te food at both is wonderful, so you really can't go wrong with either choice.

I'm a Russo's Bride, so I'm obviously going to be biased, but the first thing I think of is that these 2 places are SO FAR away from one another. Where are your guests travelling from?? If your guests are mostly out east, then FF might be a good choice. If they're Queens/Nassau, then Russo's is more convenient. Just another thought to help you decide.

Also, Russo's freakin' rocks. Everyone who goes to a wedding there always says the same thing. It's the GREATEST.

Ultimately, you just need to follow your gut.

Re: Flowerfields or Russo's?!

I actually live in eastern Nassau (and so do most of my guests) so Russo's and Flowerfields are exactly the same distance from my house! I almost wish that was a factor lol... I agree Russo's food is amazing and FF's grounds are beautiful - can't believe I can't make a decision!

Thanks so much for your opinions... please keep them coming!

I'm totally biased too-
and I've never seen flower field.

Did you go see both places?

I say you pick the one that the price is right at-
the one who offers more bang for your buck-
has the date you're looking for etc,.

There will be factors that lead you into making your choice.

Yes, we went to go see both of them... but I think we are going back again this week to see their final prices and hopefully they can throw in some add-ons?!

Did you girls find the banquet managers at either place to be negotiable with price and/or adding extras?

Thanks again in advance!

Re: Flowerfields or Russo's?!

The owner of Russo's is a friend of our family ... Definitely negotiable. My sister had her wedding there 10 years ago and I still remember it. One of the best I have been to and I have been to a lot! Food was amazing, service even more so.

It all depends on the feel you want. I personally dont love 'Italian Flair' which Russo's has a bit. But equally I do not love Flowerfields. I went to a showcase there and was not impressed with the cocktail hour room. Felt like a plane hangar (spelling?) to me and didnt love the bridges with the water underneath. The ballroom was pretty with the draped fabric.

Again, everyone has their own opinion but I am a Russo's girl if it came down to it!

Flowefield is beautiful however I know it is very pricey. I think you get way more for your money at Russo's plus their food is so good.

Flowerfield! I've never been to Russo's, but I'm getting married at FLowrfield. I agree that it's a matter of personal style. We weren't looking for 'italian flare' at all. The atrium at FLowerfield used to be a helicopter hanger during WWII, which I thought was pretty cool. I was looking for romantic and a little different. As for pricing, we were able to negotiate a lower pp price plus get some ad ons. Either way, it sounds like you're in a win win situation.

Good luck!
