Flowergirl dress
So last week FH and I asked his little cousin to be our flowergirl. She lives in Florida and we see her about once a year and was in FSILs wedding last year. Long story short, she said no. (We got it on video, it's hysterical) Before they left to return home she began warming up and her mom said she was sure she'd do it for us. That's part on of the story.
Part 2: Last year when FSIL was getting married she had a moment, you know those bridal break down moments, when the flowergirl's mother (her aunt) bought a dress for her daughter to wear without showing her (the bride). When my FSIL was telling me this story, with bridal bugged eyes and everything, I didn't think or realize that this was a big deal. I mean flowergirls wear a white dress with a colored sash right. Oh boy!
Part 3: Since there aren't any small children in either of our families, except this one young cousin who is pushing it (age 7), I never thought about having a flowergirl. FH seemed in agreement until we asked our bridal party the week of our engagement party and he spent the whole week with his little cousin. When I agreed to ask her I began thinking of dress options. Since I am thinking of having my girls in various shades of pink, and I'm still not sure if I'm wearing ivory or white, I'd like to see the FG in the palest shade of pink, like a blush. I love this idea! I even found an adorable dress online, which would be convenient since they live in Florida. When briefly talking to FHs aunt about my color scheme, her initial response was 'Maybe she can wear bright pink.' WHOAH! I told her that I was thinking more blush, but that's when I remembered my FSILs breakdown last year. Am I prematurely freaking out? Would it be unacceptable to send her the picture and the website? I never thought of even having a flowergirl so I never anticipated this situation. Please help.
