I am doing a fall theme. My church doesn't allow petals to be thrown by the FG's. Instead of having flowers in baskets that can't be thrown...would it be stupid to get FG baskets and put fall stuff in them (leaves, a gourd, a few fall silk flowers, etc) I would make it look nice but it wouldn't be the normal FG basket. Is that stupid?

No way!!! Do what you think will look the best!!! My niece / FG will be 3 when we get married. I probably wont give her anything to walk down w/except her stuffed dog.

are you saying they would throw down leaves instead? bc i doubt they would allow that since they don't allow petals. what about a kissing ball?

no, not throwing leaves, just holding a basket of fall stuff. because they would be holding a basket of flowers they couldnt throw anyway so i thought maybe i would DIY the basket and make it super fall-like.

Have them carry a pumpkin all cute and decorated!!!
Maybe that's just my taste lol but kissing balls are great. I've also heard of very little girls carrying a teddy bear in a coordinating color wearing flowers like a lei or my florist said that she's done this just to kind of represent flowers.
EDA: Or give the flower girl a pumpkin wit ha pretty painted 'Here comes the Bride' on it!

I don't think your idea is stupid, but I also don't think everyone will get the full effect of it if she can't throw anything......
