On Thursday night I went to see my florist to talk color and price. I thought I got a really great price, but my friends say I'm paying way too much. What is your opinion of 'average' for 1 brides bouquet, 1 moh, 7 bridesmaids, 1 flowergirl's basket and head wreath, 15 boutineers, 8 corsages, church arrangements, flowers for the pews, 22 centerpieces, and 2 arrangements for the caterer?

I was quoted $3000 for: -setup and delivery, -10 pew bows, -floral decoration across top of gazebo (for ceremony), -30 open roses floated in bowls for cocktail hour tables -ladies room arrangement -escort table arrangement -bridal bouquet -toss bouquet -1 MOH and 4 BM bouquets -2 mothers coursages -8 boutineers -halo for flowergirls head (no petals, we are doing something different) -floral and eucaluptus wreath for each dinner table (i'm providing hurricane candle for the center of the wreath) What was your quote? any thoughts on my quote?

My quote was $3200. I think we are right in line with each other! My friends say I shouldn't have to pay more than $2000. They all had lovely flowers, but I think you and I included a lot more 'extras'. My florist threw in at no charge: 2 rest room arrangements, bows for the front gate of my caterer, flowers for the serving trays at the cocktail hour, and rose petals for tossing at the church. I thought that was very nice!

I'd say go with them if you feel good...I could get cheaper, but I picked a very creative designer rather than typical. She's doing some interesting designs and unusual flowers for me so it sounds right.... :-)
