Re: Flowers
Funny that you asked... We have no choice and must go with the exclusive florist that comes with our hall..Not too happy about it, but whatever. He asked us what we wanted and we talked about prices and he came up with $10k... FOR FLOWERS?! I was like, you've got to be kidding me!!! So my FH had to calm me down because I was ready to jump the table between myself and the florist and strangle him. I calmed down finally and both FH and I discussed we're budgeting around $4k and I hope it'll still come out nice. At this point my florist will probably spit in the flowers because of the scene I made

Re: Flowers
i have a tiny BP, the hall provides flowers for our ceremony, and we're making DIY CP's with only rose petals necessary.
our budget came out to less than $500. (with delivery)

OMG what is he nuts?!?!?!?!?!
I wouldn't worry though I'm sure he's going to go a wonderful job still.
What hall is MAKING you use their florist?

Re: Flowers
I am just getting started but I allocated $5k for flowers. That includes ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.

Re: Flowers
We budgeted $2,500 being the MOST! But we're hoping to find it cheaper. And we did, $2,096 to be exact!

10K????!!!!! holy crap! my whole take on flowers is that flowers will almost never detract from the look, but will only make everything look nicer. flowers come in ranges of pretty, prettier and prettiest, so you really can't go wrong. and when was the last time you asked someone about a wedding and the people mentioned the flowers first? never! it's always the place, the band and the amount of fun that was had that people remember.

Re: Flowers
We decided on 2K for our budget and came $100 below. We have lower CP w/ candles in the middle. We are using Oberle's Florist in East Meadow.

Re: Flowers
$500-we aren't having flower CPs so this cut down on flowers big time.
