no not at all, infact most people do different flowers. Im doing peonies and my girls will have calla's. Its up to you but usually the bride wants something different

It's entirely up to you but usually your bo-k would be different then the girls.

Nope, they can be different. However, I am tying in the flowers from mine to match one or two in theirs....personally, I don't like totally different flowers.

I am doing shades of the same reds and pinks for the BM's Bo-k and they will be the same flowers as mine

It doesnt really matter. Its all up to you. I've seen weddings where its either way. For my wedding, i will be carrying red calla lillies and my girls will be carrying white callas.

My girls will have red roses and I am having red roses w/ stephanotis. Just a tiny variation. Whatever you want!

IMO-similar colors (not necessarily same flowers) and yours would be larger or the same flowers with yours having a slight variation (like some more white thrown in or something.

you can go either way. Mine won't be matching...I'm doing orchids...and the girls will be carrying red anemones.
