Flowers

Flowers

Flowers are the next thing on my list, and I have a few questions...

First is - how expensive are calla lillies (in august)?

Second is - does anyone have opinions on Lovin' Oven Floral about both price and quality? And - even if I decide not to use them for flowers, does anyone know if I can use them just for their hanging paper lanterns?

Third - for anyone who has really shopped around alot, any idea what I can expect to pay for:

5 corsages, 8 bouquets, 10 boutenieers (sp?), 1 floral arrangement for church, and 15 medium/high centerpieces?

Thanks!!!!!!

Sorry I don't know how much calla lillies are or about lovin oven.

But I have shopped around a lot.
I went to 4 florists and the grand total came about the same. The prices of the individual things were different at each place.
From what I've seen....
corsages and bootiners usually range from $10-$30 each
Bouquets $50-$300
church arrangement about $100
centerpieces really depend on what you want.
I splurged on the flowers since we have been getting good deals on other stuff so far. The total was $2,800
My centerpieces are in my photo album if you want to see them. They were $100 each and I think it was a good deal for what they look like.
good luck

Re: Flowers

Blossom Heath in Oceanside.
The guys name is Peter, he was really helpful.
I only know one other bride who used them so I was a little worried but I've been going there for years for little stuff & they were always good so I figured I'd give it a shot.
You should try them. I have to find the #

Silly question...Do they charge tax on flowers?

Try Burton's - callas are very expensive, especially mini callas, and some places will charge an arm and a leg for them. Burton's charges based on quantity of flowers, not type of flower, so you can get whatever you want for the same price. I love callas!

well calla's are expensive any time of year.

Sorry don't know about lovin oven

Well see its not just about how many arrangements you get but what type of flowers for each arrangement, for example you said 8 bouquets, well if you did 8 bouquets of roses it would be alot less than say peonies or calla's. so maybe if you said which flowers people would be able to give you more of an accurate range.

also just so you know, low centerpieces are anywhere from $50-100 and high centerpieces are about $125-200 each
