is anyone planning on NOT using roses and/or calla lilies? if so, what flowers are you using? TIA

I'm def. NOT doing roses - I will be using calla lilies, orchids, stephanotis and maybe some gardenias

did your florist suggest gardenias...i love them and wanted to use them in my BM bo-ks but i read somewhere that they are very delicate and not ideal for bo-ks...i am still hoping they would be okay though

Im not. I love them but I am not using them. Im using all lily of the valley for my bok and french anemones for the BM's and groomsmen boutineers. And I am using tulips for the tables. i am having all white flowers for everything.

I think my bo-k will be callas, but the flowers for my centerpieces (unless I do candles instead - not sure yet) will be gladiolas.

We used peonies and rununculus for the boks, the bouts were roses tho

my florist is actually a former co-worker (i worked in a florist shop for a few years) gardenias are usually used in the brides bouquet, usually placed in the center of it so they're protected - typically 1 - 3 are used also b.c. they're so expensive.
