FLOWERS...

Just curious about what kind of flowers everyone is using for the bouquets. I'm getting married in the fall and keep changing my mind. Any suggestions?

I am getting married the day before you! I think I am just going to use red roses- not sure yet.

we're using sunflowers for the BM's and my bouquet is sunflowers with a bunch of other stuff mixed in. i love it!!!!!!!

i saw a great rose that looks fallish - its kinda like a oragne trim on a lt yellow rose - forget what is was called but it is nicer than it sounds the way i desribed it....if only i could find my quote - he wrote it on there....hmmm...maybe later...

pschica! You're talking about Circus roses (I think)! I'm using those, with black magic and some peach ones for an autumn look!

I am having a boo-k with Yellow & Ivory roses with some greenery in it and stephenotis, and the BM's will be yellow roses with blue delphinum.

Gardenias with blush roses and stephenotis - - a little ivy hanging out from the sides.

sanmik, I wanted gardenias in my bouquet to commemoriate my grandmother, but they don't hold up to well unfortunately....

Marcella - I love Gardenias (they were my grandfather's favorite flowers), I asked my florist because I know they bruise quickly, and August heat doesn't help the matter, but he assured me (crossing-fingers) that they will stay. He's spraying them and ships the flowers in boxes that stay cool - - that's where I can place them in during 'waiting' time. I saw pictures of one he did for a late-July wedding and the flowers looked as if they were in better shape then 1/2 the party in the heat, so I have to pray and take his word for it.

The pic that Curly2003 posted was given to my florist for my november wedding. I love the way the leonides and ivory roses look together! Plus the berries - love it .

My girls are carrying leonides/black magic roses and mango callas with berries.

I love my flowers - its been one of my fav. parts of the wedding.

I am getting married in August and have falling in love with the orange unique rose. My center piece will have two dozen roses consisting of orange unique, yellow and also the confetti rose (which can be found in a yellow with burnt orange tips or yellow with a tangerine middle) they are so beautiful. I haven't decided on my bouqet yet. I was thinking of a soft peachy rose look.
