We are our first florist appointment tonight at Flowers by Brian and I have no idea what I should ask/bring. Am I supposed to bring inspiration pics or just tell them my ideas? Also, I have no idea what a 'good' price is for flowers. Anyone willing to share their budget for flowers with me? This is one area where I have no idea what to expect lol. TIA

we are spending $3K on our flowers. the samples posted below are not what the colors will actually look like and the. Each vase will have flowers inside of it and an LED light that we have to pick the color of. the $3K includes all of the flowers at the church. the flowers and tulle at the church for the pews. We are also having large stands brought in to have two large arrangements places by the altar. We also go an arrangement of flowers to give to the Virgin Mary during the ceremony. Also, includes my toss BoK, my Bok and the BoK for 3BM and 1 MOH and 2 corsages for the MOB and MIL and one corsage for my grandmother. Boutennaires for the groom, best mand and 4 GM plus 2 for the FOB and FIL. In addition, we re having around 10 tables at the wedding so centerpieces for them and the tables are being decorated suring our CH and for our placecards. HTH!

I would definitely bring some inspriational pictures with you so they can get a sense of what it is you like. From there, you can figure out together what flowers choices work best both for you are looking for and your budget.
Also, have written down ahead of time how many of each item you will need (BM bouquets, Bouts, Corsages, CPs, and any other arrangements you may want - like place card tables or for the Bar).

when i started dealing w mine, i sent her pics of what i wanted. it really helped her understand what I was envisioning.
From what i've heard about FBB, they'll be able to come up w something great. Bringing photos will make the process faster and easier for them to put something together for you.

Totally bring pics - all kinds: colors you like, flowers your like, CP styles, pictures of your dress, pictures of the BM dresses, color samples of the BM dresses (if you have) and like Jessie said - know how much of what you need (how many BM, how many GM and an idea of how many guests).
We are paying $3,300 for flowers and IMO we got hooked up pretty good!! We are getting some really expensive flowers and we arent doing tall CP's but the type of vases we are using for the medium sized ones are pretty pricey.

I never met with this vendor so have no personal experience with them, but my MOH found them to be quite expensive and they just wouldn't compromise to her budget. She even suggested replacing orchids with roses to cut costs (she hates roses) but they told her they flat out wouldn't do it. As I said, this is not my personal opinion, but experience I heard. If you have a strict budget take it with you as well as pictures and I guess make it clear that you are open to budget saving ideas. HTH
