Flowers

we met a florist yesterday and think the pricing is good. just wondering if you ladies think this is a good price or should we keep looking. our package includes, brides bouquet, 2 MOHs, 5 BMS, 1 Jr BM, 15 boutonniere's, 3 corsage's, 20 centerpieces (1/2 high, 1/2 low) and 2 extra arrangements for the ceremony. does $2800 sound like a fair price or should we keep looking?

I was quoted that price but for 20 low centerpieces, the same number of bridesmaids, and a few less boutonnieres. We found a better deal for less, so I think your quote is right on target

That sounds pretty reasonable to me. We used doris the florist in island park, who is such a sweetheart and does beautiful work! We have my bouquet, 2 beautiful centerpieces for our ceremony, 3 bridesmaids bouquets, 14 centerpieces, 8 boutonnieres, and 3 corsages for the mothers and we are paying $1,900.00. Who did you book with?

We met with Burtons. i've see many recommendations on here for them, so i figured they must do a pretty good job. i also like that that is the cost no matter what flower we use. They seemed very busy the day we went, so they must be doing something right!

You got basically the same as me. Hearing that quote from John was seriously a breath of fresh air. I went and got quotes from two other florists and neither could get their price under $4000. I've seen Burton's work at other weddings and i know we have nothing to worry about.

Re: Flowers

that's good to hear! my mother-in-law thinks we should still go get other quotes and make sure we 'do our homework', but i really feel no one else is going to come close to that.. unless i'm totally wrong!

I went with Burtons too! We have a large bridal party and I was dead set on peonies, so every florist gave us very high quotes. But Burtons gave us a great price. A few of my BM actually used them for their wedding, and the flowers were beautiful.

You should check out Hidden Essence! I was quoted the same as Burton's but I liked her a lot more

That seems like a really good deal to me. I just met with Hidden Essence based on all of the reviews that said she was very reasonable. I was surprised when her quote came back almost exactly what I got from Bella Flowers in Huntington (I really like them). My quote is about $1000 more than yours and with 25 centerpieces (half high and half low) and a smaller bridal party. Maybe I need to check out Burton's!

Burtons is the best! I was quoted around that prices, but I have different centerpieces. I know many brides who have used them and their work is fantastic. I don't think you can find anything cheaper.

doesn't hurt to 'do your homework' since you have time. My friend owns blooming floral designs in Lindenhurst, at the time I only some to her about bridal party flowers.
I needed 22 pieces 7 bm, 1 fg, 3 corsages (moms and grandma) 6 gm, 1 groom, 1 rb, 4 dads and grandpas I didn't want full traditional bouquets I wanted girls holding a few long stem calla Lilly do that helped make it cheaper but for all that I was quoted $300. Check her out, she has a fb page, if you go ask for Stephanie and tell her Rose sent you!! Good luck!

I booked with with Burton's as well... they have such a good reputation and the price couldn't be beat.. I booked them right on the spot! Just don't wait too long to sign the contract- you don't want them to book your date!
