Flowers and bridesmaid dresses

I'm getting married in September. Today I am meeting with my florist (Spitz and Peck) to discuss options and see what their prices are. I have to use them sice Waters Edge has them contracted. I read in a bridal magazine that you sholdn't see the florist until you know what the girls are wearing. Is this true? I don't know what they are wearing yet but I have an idea of what the color will be. Help

It helps to know what they are wearing, but if you know the colors then that should be fine! More importantly, you'll discuss types of flowers and what kind of centerpieces you'll want. As long as you have a color scheme in mind, you'll be fine!
