I thought I had my flowers and color scheme picked out, but when we went to go visit with a florist she had suggested that I add another color to make it 'pop'. My FH agrees with the florist so now I don't know what to do. My girls dresses are posted below and my game plan was to do green and white flowers for them...however my FH thinks it will all just blend together...he wants us to add another color, just a splash, to give it some definition...but what color?!!
here is the dress AHHH so annoying...in ivory on top and clover green on the bottom!!!

you could always add a hint of purple...that goes well with green and makes it pop....

I think it depends on what you are going for. I am using some bright colors in my flowers to pop against a dark purply blue BM dress and I think the look is very bold and modern. If you are going for a more classic feel it might not be right for you.
Try talking to your florist about the overall theme/feel of your wedding and see if she can hlep pick an accent color that compliments (rather than 'pop').

i think you can do anything with that dress because most flowers have green in them. I personally like green and purple but you could do green & yellow too

Do any of your girls have their dress yet? Maybe you can have one of them come with you to your florist and bring their dress so you can play around with flower colors/arrangements to see what you like.

ITA. Some vendors I met with I felt like they 'talked down' to me or belittled my ideas because 'they knew best.' Go with what you want. I also agree with the idea of maybe picking up a white and green bouquet and seeing how it looks with the BM dresses.

However, if you do go with another color, you could go with another shade of the same color you had picked before. That way, it doesn't change your color scheme too drastically.

LOL>>> I totally understand ...im having an irish wedding and i wanted green and white flowers too and when i want to the florist she told me that in the pictures everything will blend in so she told me about purple and you know what its really nice!!! but trust me when i say this ...they are right and you dont want to look back at your pictures and say i should have had colors ....just one color can make it pop ..you dont have to go crazy trust me ...

I am having the same problem!! My girls will be in clover green and I want a natural bouquet that incorporates green and white, but I don't want it to be too bland. My mom and I went to Michaels and played with fake flowers for ages...we really liked adding a dark purple in with the green and white... now to decide which purple flowers...

I'm doing two drastically different colors throughout: my girls will be in blue, the flowers will be hot colors, like red orange and pink. I agree that it pops more to do a different color flower than dress.

Haha, im avoiding flowers right now... But the colors were ivory, yellow and then they have those little green hypericums (i think thats the name) They are delicate and just add a splash of color. Maybe you can find something like that.
