My grilfriend wants to do small multiple arrangements on the table at her wedding in terracata pots or something like that and have the guests take a bunch home as t he favor. Anyone have pics or have seen this before?

Re: FLOWERS as FAVORS
they have 'break away centerpeices'.. you can get like a bunch of small vases that fit well together, and each vase have a few flowers(put together makes a whole centerpiece'...
then at the end of the night each person has a vase and a couple of flowers... ive seen vases in the dollar store that would work for that..

We are doing this probably with African Violets or Tulips. My florist made a sample and she wrapped each pot and decorated with ribbon to match my girls, it looked beautiful! The great thing is it doubles as a favor, kill 2 birds with one stone!

We are doing this for our guests instead of that traditional favor. Since it's a fall wedding, we'll probably do terracotta pots or if that doesn't work out maybe just simple small glass vases w/ flowers inside for each couple to take home. Here is a sample pic of a wedding I went to & they did something similar w/ roses in pewter vases (hope it comes out- I never posted a pic before)!!! If it doesn't post I'll try again later.

My cousin did this, she had violets in their plastic container snuggly put inot baskets, then at the end of the party everyone had a small plant to take with them. I thought it was a really nice idea.

My friend did ivy plants that surrounded a bowl with floating candles. We all took an ivy plant as a favor - looked so nice/classy and I love plants! It was a day wedding and it just fit the place and the event.
Also another person who had a bubble vase of roses as a centerpiece and had the hall wrap them all individually at the end of the night (the ends in tin foil) so we all got to take a rose (she had another favor as well).
What I have also seen is individual bud vases with a single rose - collected together in the center of the table and at the end of the night you get to take home the flower with the vase.

I've seen this done w/ small mint julep cups which are great if you prefer the silver containers.

Hi I have about 99% decided that I will do the flowers/favors idea although I don't know which flowers yet. A site for ideas is http://www.romanticflowers.com
