Is anyone using them? If so if you dont mid telling how much are you paying? I just got back and got a quote of 3500$$. Was just wondering if that was normal. It was my first appointment with a florist, so I dont even know what to compare it to. Thank you in advance

Re: Flowers by Brian
That was the first florist I visited also. We came VERY close to using them. My quote was around 2500. Included 5 bms, 15 tall cps, 5 bms, my bok, 2 mom corsages, and place card arrangement. also fresh flowers for the bathrooms and serving trays. and also a flower arrangement for my moms house. Not sure but there might have been more...

Re: Flowers by Brian
They were the second place I went to. I ended up going with Pedestals -they gave me more for the money than I got at Flowers by Brian. Also, I felt that Robert at Pedestals had great ideas and got the look and ambiance I was going for. He sat down with me and went over what my wedding was like and my ideas and made some great suggestions. I also went to Flowers by Burton. A few of my sister's friends have used them and were really happy with their flowers, but it's more like wholesale and I felt you really needed to know exactly what you were looking for. Check them out-I think their price was about $1000-$1500 less than Pedestals. Good luck!

We are using them-- and our quote is $6000.. and I actually thought that was low. We are renting candleabras from them for the CP's.. and we also have to get ceremony flowers, chuppah, etc.

We are using them and are paying $3300. They are the only florist we went to and I really liked the woman we worked with plus I heard such wonderful things about them.

Well- I originally thought we'd be paying like over 10 grand on flowers-- and I thought this to be ridiculous.. We have 20 CPs, plus like 20 small CPs for cocktail hour.. Then we are havign the ceremony at our place- so, that is probably the bulk of it.. Plus, we have a large bridal party, and divorced/step parents, that all need small bo-k's, bouts, etc.

I think it really depends on what you are getting and you didn't list that. But if you have more than 15 tables and a big bridal party and other things added, then that should be about right. And it also depends what you are looking for. A lot of places filled their CP's with greenery and baby fresh...and I personally do not like that. So it depends on different factors.... Try to go to a few places then you can compare and see where you are getting the most for you money. Good Luck !!!

What are they giving you for that price? They were the 2nd florist I went to. I think it depends on how many tables you have as well as bo-k's, how many flowers and what type of flowers you are having.

It really depends what you get for that price and they are negotiable to an extent. I used them for my wedding two years ago, had a great experience and they beat a competitors prices (or at least gave me a lot more fo rmy money). I enjoyed working with them.

I went to Flowers by Brian but ended up booking with Pedestals. I got a lot more for my money at Pedestals and loved that they actually brought the flowers out to you while discussing what you wanted. I worked with Jay...he was great. Pedestals came in about $1,000 cheaper than Flowers by Brian too!

I went to him this past weekend and was horrifed by his service or should I say lack of. But the flowers are beautiful and he has tons of fans. I did not book him, but the quote I got was in line with the others I received.

I used him almost 3 years ago. My quote was 2,500 for 20 CP, 4 bm, 4 gm, 2 moms, 2 uncles, 2 godmothers, and 2 large arrangements for the church. Plus, I used raffia for my pew bows and ivy. I thought that was a great price for my flowers. They were beautiful. People still talk about them.

Sort of...I had a 1:00 appt which I was early for, so my mom and I waited in the showroom and at 1:00 Brian came out and said to have a seat in his office. Then he proceeded to tell me that I 'had to give him a few minutes' bc he was really busy and had a million things to do. So he comes back ten minutes later, and says the same thing - I'll be right with you guys, I'm just so busy....Then after a total of 25 minutes of waiting (we were going to wait 5 more and then leave), he finally came in and said someone else would be taking care of us because he didn't have the time!!
I was just so turned off by that. If he was busy, he should have given us someone else to talk to from the start. Although she was very nice, I felt that my consultant was just telling me what to get and not working through the ideas that I had. One of my BM's used him in '01 and the flowers were beautiful. I have also been to other weddings where he did a great job. I just felt that his business has gotten so big since he was showcased on Kelly and Regis, that I was just a number to him, and I felt that some of the little details could be overlooked. I was very exicted to go to him and it was a major disappointment.
I am sure that you and everyone else that is using him will not have any problems at all. Maybe he was having a bad day when I was there, but when I am getting ready to drop major $$$, I expect some better service!

Re: Flowers by Brian
I have to say he is definitely a frenetic kind of guy.. Someone else handled our paperwork, then we sat with him for a while-- he took us in the back and showed us some stuff, etc.
Maybe it would be worth another trip in-- sounds like he was dealing with some kind of crisis or having a really bad day. But that would have rubbed me the wrong way too.
