Hey ladies. I need your opinion or help in this matter! So I went to check them out and I love their work and really want to use them but its a little out of our budget. I was trying to negotiate price for additional reduction to meet my budget but wasn't able to. Was told given me the best quote and that was it. I was actually disappointed to hear that. Currently it's $400 more than our budget. We really can't afford to go over. Our budget is $3k. I was looking at quotes other brides who got quote from them FM me and looks like they got better deal considering I am not asking for as much. My question is I feel another consultant (Fabiola or Cindy) may be able to give me a better quote and get me a price at my budget, but how do I go about doing that? I worked with Joseph and don't want to step on anyone's toes. If I make another appointment and ask for another consultant would they even bother to talk to me since they already have me on file? What are your thoughts on how I should handle this? Thanks!

Hmm that's a tough one I booked w fbb and worked with Fabiola. It's worth a shot I would think. Ucna maybe call and say you didn't get a good vibe from him but really liked the work can u come into talk w someone else. -- say one of ur friends worked with xxx and raved about them.

I always wondered does the price u actually pay for all these thigs just depend on who u spoke w?
It's crazy how some people get things thrown in and others don't!!

I met with Joseph also and thought he overcharged me based on what I saw other people were getting. I thought he just overcharged me because he made a face when I said I was rented my centerpieces through my RH.

I would try and ask to speak to someone else based on recommendation, but they might ask Joseph to see what he quoted you. It's a shame that businesses run like that.

From my own personal experience with fbb, if you book them and have problems with a particular consultant and raise issues with the owner or anyone else, you will get a response from them that you have booked with the company and not a particular consultant. This is what happened to me when our first consultant left, second got fired (bc he lied continuously) and we got tossed around afterwards. I highly suggest shopping around and seeing what you can get from other places. I liked my flowers, but looking back, it was not worth the price, nor all of the stress I had to deal with because of their inability to keep things straight. I am not trying to bash them, but I did not have a great experience with them and do regret having them as my chosen florist. Also, talking to the owner wont help-it took me months to finally get a meeting with him, as he does not 'do good with confrontation'. Good luck!

Thanks gals for ur input! I think we are going to wait a few months then go back to see if we can get a better quote. In meantime, we are still going to shop around.

Alot of girls seem to be happy with Tim or Burtons.. I am going to Burtons.. Anyone knwow by any chance but 5 Bouquets.(including mine) 2 moms coursages, and 8 Boutineers would go for at Burtons.. I know all their flowers are the same price regardless of flower so just wondering..

Terrie, I booked with Burton's. He didn't break down how much each thing cost, I just told him what I needed and he gave me a price. But it does say ALL bouttonniers are free for Groom, BM, ushers, and parents of bride and groom.

I just scheduled an appointment with flower barn in seaford so I will let you know what kind of quote I get but from what I've heard from friends who have used them they would absolutely be able to work with your budget.

Burton's quote was $3500 for me. They wouldn't budge on going any lower. I got quoted bride's bouquet $150, BM $100. Mothers corsage $25, boutainaire $10 each. I didn't get anything free thrown in except they waived delivery and set up fee. Hope that helps you!

I am booked with FBB and met with Cindy. I think she is great! I don't think it would be a problem to call and request an appointment with a specific consultant. Just say someone recommended them.

Are you sure they are charging $10 for the buouttonniers? On the standard contract it is typed that they are free.

Yup! I didn't get a contract. He wrote quote on piece of paper but didnt give us a copy and only wrote this down on back of his business card. He gave me two cards with the quote.

Burton's was charging me for bouts as well. I never met with Flowers by Brian, but Distinctive seemed open to negotiations. I didn't book with them, but when I said their quote was too high they dropped it down to where I wanted it.

My consultant at Distinctive asked me what my budget was before we even began discussing flowers. She customized a package and showed me flowers that I could add that would keep me within my budget. I preferred this b/c as we were going through I knew that we were only talking about things I could afford and I wasn't hit with sticker shock at the end!
