FLOWERS BY BURTON

I met with Mike from Flowers by Burton yesterday and was very pleased with the flowers and the price!

Overall, I've heard some great feedback about Burton's.

Any words of wisdom or anything I should know about them before I take the plunge and sign on the dotted line??

Many thanks!

I can honestly say that I have not heard any negative things about them. I went to about 4 or 5 florists and I really liked Burtons the best. The prices were great

When you go to talk about what flowers you want, make sure you make an appt with Mike. There is a woman who works there as well and isnt as helpful.

I had some problems with Burtons. I didn't find them to be very details-oriented. They do have great prices - but my experience equated that to less service. See my review below:

My Wedding Review

I think they can do a good job, but you will need to be more on top of them.

How many months in advance do you need to make an appointment with Flowers By Burton prior to your wedding date? Do most florists require a few months or less?

Thanks for posting all the contact info.

It is very important to have pictures of what you want!! Be Very Specific..

When I called Burton's to make the appointment, Mike told me that he's been getting calls from brides-to-be who are getting married through Columbus Day weekend of 2004

Since my wedding is 10/2/04, I figured I should make the appointment and at least get the ball rolling.

Once you agree to use them, they just require a $50 deposit to save the date.

I won't meet with them again until late next summer to choose my flowers.

I agree - I came prepared with some photos of what I was looking for as well as a list (approximate) of the flowers I would need (# of bouquets, corsages, boutonierres (sp?), centerpieces for guest tables, bride/groom table, placecard table, flowers for cake, etc) so he was able to give me a price.

The other thing to consider is whether you want the 'tall' centerpieces vs. 'low' centerpieces which of course effects the price. He priced it both ways for me. That can be decided much later on when you choose your flowers.

They have a huge photo album of their work which you can take a look at if you're looking for ideas.

Wow. Thanks for all the tips. I'm starting to make lists now and looking for ideas for everything.

I am using them also. I could not believe their prices and while I was there I saw flowers that were to be shipped to a reception hall and they were beautiful! I did not go anywhere else. Only heard great things about them. I plan to make sure that I am on top of them about the flowers. I will drive them nuts so they are really forced to do a great job!

i am using them also. we priced around and they were half the price of other places for what we wanted. the only thing im nervous about is not being able to see samples of the centerpeices until the thursday before the wedding and not even seeing samples of the bouquets but i guess i cant control everything. they have done a lot of my friends weddings and their flowers were always beutiful.
