Flowers for church.....

Flowers for church.....

Hi Guys,

I am getting married in a catholic church and I know you are supposed to get flowers for the church. How much do I get and what kind of arrangement should I get?

Any suggestions?

The church I got married in was so big that it would have been a lot of $$$$ to make an impact. The church provided big arrangements of each side and it was fine. We had the florist make up pew pows. You can add flowers to them as well. I don't have a really good shot of the alter scanned but you can kind off see what I am talking about here.

It depends... My church doesnt make you purchase flowers, they do it. They keep it decorated at all times. But some churches to expect that you bring in your own. The florist knows best, they can help in this area. It all depends on how much you want to spend. I am having a Dec wedding, so will bring in some pointcetta's (?sp) put on the alter. Don't stress over it...

You should check with your church my church makes us get the flowers thru them ONLY.

My church suggests that you get the flowers through them. They expect you to leave them as a gift to the church. I am getting married the weekend after Easter so they told me to not even bother to get flowers because the church will have so many at that time. If I needed to get my own flowers I wouldn't go crazy with it. Maybe some bows/flowers for the first few pews and an alter arrangement or two.
