I need a quick opinion. Should I get flowers for a person doing reading at the ceremony? I already got her a small gift and I was thinking about getting her a wrist corsage. But then I thought I would hate to have to deal with that on my wrist if I wanted to boogie the night away on the dance floor and it would get left on the table. Thoughts?

Re: Flowers for readers?
We're not doing that. One of our readers is a friend of mine and I know she wouldn't wear the corsage. The other is FH's tween cousin and he hates stuff like that lol

I used to be a jeweler, so I'm making jewelry for my BMs. I'm making a necklace for my other friend who is singing as a gift. I don't think she'd like a corsage.

I thought about it, but decided against any flowers for the readers. I don't think they care, and you gotta save money anywhere you can!!

Re: Flowers for readers?
I honestly never thought about giving gifts or flowers to the readers. I'm thinking that's a group of people you can get away with not giving something to. It makes sense to give something to the parents, bridal party, etc cause those people tend to lay out a lot money just to be a part of the wedding. But I'm thinking most readers don't really have to do anything extra like buy a dress, get their hair and makeup done, etc in order to show up at the wedding and read. So if you're looking to cut costs, I think you can get away with no flowers for the readers, and I'm sure they won't mind.

Re: Flowers for readers?
Thanks everyone. The reader is a very good friend of mine who would have loved to be in my bridal party, but we went for a VERY small bridal party of siblings only. The gift is more of a 'thanks for being a friend' gift. I'm thinking that flowers aren't necessary and probably would be left behind. I would rather save the money and send her flowers on her birthday. Thanks again!

Re: Flowers for readers?
I think it would depend on your reader, would they wear it or would it be in their way?? I have seen either option at weddings in the past, so you should be safe whatever you decide
