Flowers for reception/ ceremony

Flowers for reception/ ceremony

I was just reading my bridal bargains book and one of the suggestion for saving money on flowers is to contact the bride using your reception room/ ceremony site after you and splitting the cost of the arrangements.

Has anyone tried this/ considered this/ or thinks this is unheard of? opinions

This was something I'd never heard of and wasn't sure if it was worth looking into or not. I don't know how I feel about it.

when we went to book the church the priest actually recommended this to us. He says people do this often.

We are getting married on the 2nd Saturday of lent. No problem for me - less $$ to spend on flowers and more $$ for other things.

I never heard of it, but it sounds like something to look into. I just might try it my self. Thanks for the tip. Anything that helps saves money, is greatly appreciated.

I'm before lent I believe - I never even thought of that when setting the date! That was a very smart decision for you to plan during lent!!

I have the weekend after Easter. so the church is going to be filled with flowers (at not cost to us!!! wooohoooooo) I am considering giving the church a donation towards them though.

I say there is no harm in trying if the bride is agreeable too...I'm sure many people are looking to cut corners!!!

I'm not getting married in a church but it sounds like a great idea to me! If you just use white flowers then it'll match both your colors. Worth a shot to save some $$!!!
