Flowers from church

Does anyone know who brings the alter flowers to the reception hall? Do we have to find our own way to get them there? thanks!

I know some churches asked you to leave the flowers in the church as a donation.

I had my wedding coordinator bring the arrangements AND the pew bows. Im glad she was able too because it made for some nice additional decor.

I agree with DDunne, I believe you leave them there as a donation... However, double check with your church, my church told us to REFRAIN from adding any extra flowers to the altar as they are replaced every weekend....

I do know that when I spoke with one of the florists on my list, if the Church does not keep them as donation, you have to find your own way of getting them to the reception.... Limo trunk is what he said

In the booklet that the church gave us when we booked them said that the flowers would be a donation. I called to double check because I would like to also use them at the reception. They said we could take them and our florist (Fabulous John!! @ Flower Michele) will move them from the church to the reception hall for us.

Our florist (Flower Michele) is picking them up and bringing them to the reception. John said that the limo drivers would put them in the trunk; but we have 'delicate'arrangements and John wants to set them up at the Hamlet himself.

Our limo driver will bring them to the reception hall for us. Our wedding is the first one in the church on Saturday, so if there are any weddings after us, they will bascally just throw our arrangments in the garbage for the new ones. So I will definitly take them with us for additional decoration at the hall. But I didnt think about the pew bows, where can those go?........As for a donation, I think the $$$ the church charges to get married there is enough of a donation! JMHO!

I had one of my husbands friends who did a reading in the church bring it home and to the reception hall when he arrived.

We left the alter flowers, but took the pew bows. They made a nice decoration during the cocktail hour on the deck at the PJCC.

Thanks girls!! Curly, I agree about the rather generous donation we must give the church. I would like to have the flowers for the front of the bridal table. I am getting an SUV so there is no trunk, I must find a kind person to take them

I'm also using John from Flower Michele and he is going to move them for us!

The driver from M&V limos took ours. Church did not discourage this.

We were greeted by our maitre D & bridal attendant when we arrived at JAs who took the 2 altar arrangements and put them in front of our table in the reception room.

Florist delivered them to the church, limo driver put them in the trunk and drove them there.
