We are just beginning to shop around for florists and we are totally ignorant about this. Can anyone give any tips/advice about what are good prices? What we can talk them into including? anything else that might be helpful. We just have no clue.

Re: FLOWERS -- I Need Help!!
Check out Burton's, they have excellent prices; Flower Barn was willing to match any price I gave them or work with any budget; Flower Michele and Flower's by Brian are both excellent florists!!!
I think that the things that you could work into the price would be your ceremony pieces, pew bows, and the guys bout's.
FM me if you have any questions and good luck!!!

Hi Tam. I'm sure most of the girls here will agree with me that it really depends on what kind of flowers you want, the amount of centerpieces and whether their high or low. Pew bows and that sort of stuff are a minimal price. I know you have some appts, but I'm biased so I say wait on your decision until you meet with Flower Michele.Love ya

Try Flowers Etc./Floral Prestige . The owner, Jola, will work with you so that your flowers come out perfect for a fair price and so that you're not just satified, your happy and excited about your flowers. She is the nicest person.

Here is something that I never knew until I went on this site. Roses are one of the most inexpensive flowers!

Re: FLOWERS -- I Need Help!!
George at Signature Florist: We're paying well under 1500 (I want to say 1200... I can never remember what it is, we signed almost a year ago). It was about 1000 less than what another florist wanted to charge us, and he's giving us SO much! For that price, we're getting our low centerpieces (I want to say about 12 of them?... we may have to add more... they're about 80 per centerpiece) of a wreath of black magic roses with three different sized pillar candles in the center... SOOO pretty!, my bo-k, toss bo-k, MOH bo-k, 5 BM's bo-k's (one of which we have to take off since 1 girl is no longer my BM b/c she divorced from my brother), cake flowers, sweetheart table flowers, mens' boutonnieres, moms' corsages, church decorations for altar and pews, and rose petals for tossing and for the place card table. I thought I would have had to pay A LOT more for flowers, so I was so happy that I found Signature Florist. George is a GREAT guy... so nice and creative and helpful! They're located in Bellmore. Try them out! Good luck!
