Flowers on cake?
Should I have Westbury manor decorate my 'free' cake which is plain unless you pay $175 for flowers or have Burtons do it? Does anyone know how much Burtons charges for cake flowers? $175 seems like alot.

I would call and ask your florist. My florist threw in the cake flowers for free. I am sure Burton's should be able to do better!
Does the florist decorate it if they are the ones delivering the flowers for it or does the hall do it for you?
Thanks! $175 seems like a bit much for cake flowers. I will call Burtons.
Yes--Definetley call Burton's--When I got a quote from them, the cake flowers were included.
I paid for my cake flowers from Burtons..I think it was 125
Yeah!!! I called and its only $100 for all roses cascading around cake. Cheaper and nicer than the hall ones. Thanks girls!
Cutielips...Is that how cascading flowers look?
Personally, I don't like flowers on the cake. As far as I'm concerned, just a cake topper could be fine. Shop around... some of the cake toppers aren't so plain anymore. They have evolved into more than just the typical couple posing on top of the cake.
my florist is throwing in the flowers for the cake and the dais table etc. Maybe try and sweet talk burton's into throwing it in. You are already spending money there it is the least they can do
Jackiwedd..thanks for the info. I got charged $100 for my cake flowers but my hall is decorating it for me, not Burtons so it should look good.
Our florist wanted $85 to decorate the cake. I really wan't to have it decorated but FH reminded me that his sister is HIGHLY allergic to flowers and if we put them on the cake, she will not be able to have any. I am a little torn. I was thinking maybe I would get some fake ones and ask the hall or florist to do it. But, I really wanted fresh flowers!!
my florist included that in my packaage..I would ask your florist.. it really isnt much..
I personally would have the florist do it if possible.
