flowers - opinions needed:)

I went to the florist today and now am thorougly confused. I am having a formal, Saturday night, black and white wedding in April. I pretty much thought I would do a high centerpiece with pastel color roses until I saw some photos of the girls with their black dresses next to red roses. The red really stood out and looked really elegant. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Has anyone done red roses with a black and white wedding? Seen it done? Should I stick to pastels since the wedding is in April? Any advice would be great! Thanks in advance...

I think red roses are appropriate year round so don't worry about the season. Personally I prefer how the red will pop in the pics against the black but if you want a strictly black/white decor then go with all white roses (not pastel)

my suggestion

If you think the look of the black/white/red then you should do that. But I don't know if I would do pastel centerpieces. I think I would have the look go throughout the wedding flowers. You could also add some white and yellows to 'soften' it a bit if you want. Look on romanticflowers.com too. That site has great stuff.

After just going through this process, I understand what you are talking about. Personally, I would go with the red. I think the contrast will be striking, but it will look great in all of your pictures. Which florist did you end of going with? Stefans?

Thanks everyone for your advice. I am really leaning towards the red. We are still deciding between Spitz and Peck and Stephans. They are each going to make us up a sample and then we can make a final decision. Lauren, I had lost your e-mail adress. E-mail me at [email protected] or send me your e-mail address and we can catch up!
