Flowers Pricing - please help

We just started on our flower search and have visited one florist whom we really liked. We are planning on seeing others, but I just wanted to know what is a reasonable budget/price for what we are looking for. We are planning on having 20 tall centerpieces, flowers for the chuppah, small flower arrangements for cocktail tables during the cocktail hour, a bridal bouquet, a MOH bouquet, and a few boutonnière. We are also using roses, calla lilies and hydrangeas. At the first place, we were quoted 4,400 for all of this. I just wanted to see if anyone had/is having a similar floral arrangement or knows what a reasonable price should be. My FH and I are really clueless . Thank you so much!!!

that seems a bit high. I was quoted $3400 for the following:
20 high centerpieces
3 BM bouquets
1 MOH bouquet
2 mother bouquets
2 grandmother corsages
8 boutineres
that was for hydrangeas and callas

Hmmm but i also have a lot of flowers going for the chuppah - which is a canopy for a Jewish ceremony, maybe that's why it's high? My centerpieces which have 4 diff flowers: roses, hydrangea, calla lilies and orchids were quoted at $180

Ohh orchids are pricey oh so then it might be standard price with all the flowers for your chuppah. I would still negotiate the price it can't hurt

I got CPs with these flowers for $150 each - see my album for a photo. They're all high CPs from Flowers by Brian. I think your price is high b/c of the chuppah. They are expensive to decorate!

how many flowers do you have in your centerpieces? we have 50 roses, 40 orchids, 15 hydrangeas and 5 calla lilies. i was wondering if we should take out some roses and orchids to bring down the price...

We're getting 5 dozen flowers, but only a few orchids (like 5) - I think that's what's driving up the price. You should ask them how much of a difference it would be to change the quantity of orchids. HTH

the chuppah flowers can def bring up the pricing so it doesnt seem very hight. But i was also going to suggest you meet with FBB just to see what he can do as they are very reasonable with pricing
