My florist is giving me a hard time saying that my flowers won't look nice by the time I take pics at my reception!!!! My photographer is taking pics at 3pm at my house. Then the ceremony is at 5:30 and reception at 7:30 where we will be taking pics during the cocktail hour. Has anyone had a problem with their flowers not looking nice? Don't people get married every day and have these times spread out? He is trying to convince me to take pics without flowers until after the ceremony!!! HELP!?!? I am getting married in 4 days!!!!

Re: Flowers Question
To me this sounds absurd... My flowers arrive at 11:30am, I am getting married at 1:30, CH starts at 7pm. My florist never said anything about my flowers not lasting. Plus my sister had the same timeline and her flowers lasted.
Maybe its the type of flower you want to use?

Re: Flowers Question
My flowers are being delivered at 12:30 and my CH isnt until 8:00. He promised me my flowers would hold up all night long and mostly the next day. I am also have 90% roses. It sounds to me like your florist screwed something up and is trying to cover his butt by changing your mind. I would INSIST on having your floweres prior to the church. You wont need them late at night so who cares if they are a little wilted after the church, pictures, CH and some of the reception.

I have to agree, sounds like something is wrong. I would definitely insist, how can you possibly take pictures w/o flowers. Plus roses are supposed to last a long time.

Re: Flowers Question
That does not make sense to me. I think there is something wrong there. I hate to be the one to say this, but they may have over booked for the day and want to deliver the flowers to you later because they CAN'T get it to you in time. Like another bride said, I would INSIST on them delivering the flowers to you before the church! I have never heard of the flowers not lasting the night. As a matter a fact, I would sometimes get the CP to take home, and the flowers would last for a few days. I am sure your flowers will look beautiful all day, but definitely insist that they deliver the flowers to you before the church.
