Flowers - Suggestions & Pricing?

Hi guys,

As I work out our budget, I was wondering how much do brides usually spend on flowers for the church and the bridal party? Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to look?

I see you are new here, welcome and I know you will find lots of advice here, I don't know how I would have planned my wedding without all the wonderful ladies here! Are you getting married in a hall? The reception site will probably have recommendations. Otherwise, start making a list of what you want: high or low centerpieces, how many boquets, how many tables, pew bows, etc. Start calling places, and see if they'll give you prices over the phone. Or, on the weekends visit a couple of places like Burtons, James Cress, Flower Michele, Pedestals, Flowers by Brian, whihc are all places that I've heard of on this board.
I am using Burton's but we got very little since it's a small wedding. I don't know if this will help but we got this for $500:
2 flower girls baskets
my boquet of 1 1/2 dozen calla lillies
7 corsages
5 bouts
6 bubble bowl vase centerpieces
throw away boquet
bag of rose petals

The calla lily bouquet sound slovely - when did/are you get/ting married?

And whats' a bubble bowl vase centerpiece - it sounds cool!

How do you feel about Burton's? Fair?
