Flowers....HELP

Flowers....HELP

Ok so I went to a florist last night.......

I really can't imagine spending more on my flowers that I will use for maybe 4 hours then on my pictures that I will have for a lifetime.......

I am not a huge flower lover, so I am really stuck!!!

The quote I got was $3300!!! I had to pick my chin up off the ground, I am looking for something under 2,000, is this an unreasonable goal???

I need:
1 bride Bouq
6 BM Bouq
3 Wristlets Coursages
1 Groom Boot
6 GM boot
20 centerpieces

Can anyone give me their quotes, and help me out a little.........

If I could I would put something besides flowers on the tables......,

I'm not getting the same amount of stuff as you & it also depends what type of flowers your choosing & if they're in season the time of your wedding. But try Hidden Essence. Michelle works wonders & does amazing work!!

Re: Flowers....HELP

What kind of centerpieces are you looking to have? 20 tables is a lot and I've found that most florists charge $100 per table.

I know that some girls recommended going to local florists instead of the typical wedding florists that are often found on this site for better prices.

I am getting way more flowers than that, and for about $600 less. It definitely does depend on the type of flowers you want, but I think thats a little high.

I'm using Flower Barn in Seaford and they are just so amazing and definitely worked with my budget! Just ask for Mike, he is awesome!

What kind of CP's are you asking for? Tall ones are expensive so I can't tell if that price is too high or not. Definitely shop around.

Try designs by rose...I have 25 centerpieces and got quoted lower then that. It also depends on the type of centerpieces you want (high or low), the type of flowers you want and if you want filler flowers as well.

Maybe try doing low centerpieces to bring the price down??

I'm looking for flowers too and just started so I'm not that helpful yet!

That is for low centerpiece and just basic flowers. Nothing special....and small in size

Try Flowers by Brian - we met with them last week, and they were great. I also have meetings with Hidden Essence & Flower Barn scheduled.

Have you thought of doing flowers on half the tables & candles on the other half?

Re: Flowers....HELP

if that quote is for his CP then it seems to be pretty on target with what i have found when i went looking.

I booked with FBB and am paying pretty much the same for the same items (mine included FG basket, decorating the cake, toss bouquet and 2 less BM bouquets)

If that price is for low cp you are about $750-$1000 high
but that also depends on the flowers you pick...if you stick with roses, hydrangea, peony etc you should get close to that $2000 range with low centerpieces. if you are looking for orchids and calla lilies you get a higher quote

I would suggest contacting your hall and asking what florsits they recommend. Usually those vendors which are rec by the hall will give you a break.. also ask them if you can do anythin to reduce cost like pay cash to save tax etc.

We need just about the same combo except I'm having 24 small/low centerpieces (2 on each table..12 tables) for about $1,300. Our flowers include mostly sunflowers and viking poms, roses, and calla lily's. I talked them down over $40 per table by just providing my own containers. I found beautiful tins at the dollar store that are going to work perfectly.
Good luck!
