flu shot? - updated.

I have probably posted this already. Bear with the fact that I am too lazy to search.

There is a notice on the wall at my doctor that says anybody pregnant out of the first trimester, and anybody over 50 should get the flu shot. HIGHLY suggested.

I have never had one ever. And I don't want a shot. Are you guys getting them this year?


I bit the bullet and went and got it. I was just being lazy. My mom mentioned the last thing I want with a new baby in the house is the flu. I even got my husband to do it!

I was going to ask my midwife about these today. And for Scott too. I cannot have a newborn in the house and Scott getting the flu, or me. I will report back what she says after my appt.

This was posted in the newspaper a few days ago. I am going to ask my dr the same question. I have never had the flu shot either.
I'll let you know what my dr says too.

Is it true that anyone in their first trimester should not get one though? I would think not, right?

yes - you have to be past 12 weeks.

I asked the doctor about getting the flu shot and the doctor said I should get it.
