Ok so I went on the Rue lala botique and found the Vera Wang With love toasting flutes and serving set. And from what I've seen in the magazines, this is the only one I've liked, but I've never seen it in person.
I'm wondering if A) its worth the savings now, they're $80 together, and I could ship it to my moms house, see what she thinks and she can always return them for me.
But B) is this something we buy ourselves? I feel like this is such a shower or E-party gift, but I'm not having an e-party and bc I live out of the country I dunno if I'll be having a shower
Its not sold out yet but I want to make a decision soon... what do you girls think?

Re: Flutes?
Flutes are DEFF a big e-party & shower gift! FH and I got 3!!! We kept the ones we liked best and returned the others.
I would say bc your not having either or don't think your having either to get the ones YOU LOVE that way your happy with the ones you have for your big day. If you have a party later on and get some, you can always return or regift!

I can't buy them, but they are on my registry! The price is definitely worth it if you like them.

Re: Flutes?
I registered for flutes but if you buy them yourself just keep them off the registry. I would buy them since you're not sure about the shower situation.

Re: Flutes?
My best friend bought them for me at the Lenox outlet for my engagement party...they usually are a gift. but if you're not sure you're having one....maybe ask for it as a birthday gift? or get it yourself :)

Re: Flutes?
My mother bought us Waterford Crystal Toasting Flutes (picture in album) but I usually think ppl receive them as gifts, but hey.. if you like them, then def. buy them because you never know if someone will get them for you. If you do wind up getting them, you can always return them and put the money towards something else you need.

Yeah I haven't seen them in person but I really like them in the magazine and online.
I didn't want to miss out on a good price but oh well, I still have time :)

Re: Flutes?
I have these exact same flutes and i love them!!! They are very delicate too around the top and so gorgeous! I say put it on your registry - my consultant at BBC and blooming dales said they both take coupons so you can get them cheaper bc don't forget ruelala usually is a standard 9.95 for shipping.

I think you will get it as a gift, but if you want them then go get them.. I would register for them and wait and see if anyone gets them for you. The prices shouldn't change much and you have some time... but if you can't wait and want to make sure you have them then I don't see anything wrong with buying them yourself!!

Re: Flutes?
I think its def worth it to buy them now...it will ease your mind and its the one you want anyway so whats the difference if you get it for shower, e-party or buy it yourself? Maybe that your paying for it but at least your getting a better deal than most!!
Also if you do end up having a bridal shower just dont put them on your registry
