flying with your wedding band before being married...
I have a silly Q. I bought my wedding band while I was in NY, and FH wants me to bring it back so he can see it. I'll be flying and going through security. Should I keep the ring box in my purse and just keep a close eye on it, or should I wear the ring on the plane and carry the empty box in my purse.
I'd feel a little funny wearing my wedding band since I'm not married yet, but I want to make sure nothing happens to it!

When FH and I went to Disney he held the box with my engagement ring in his pocket and just told security people that he had it. For me I wouldn't wear it because I don't want to jinx myself. But that is me. I am weird about that stuff.

Me personally, I would either leave it in NY or just keep it in the ring box in my purse or carry on (not coat pocket, it might fall out!) I wouldn't wear it yet... until after the ceremony!

What ever you do DO NOT put it in your checked luggage! Stuff gets stolen from luggage everyday. I would keep it in the box in your pocket.

Yeah I totally agree. I just put that in there to see if anyone would pick it. I'm probably going to keep it in my purse and keep a close hold on it through security

I voted don't listen to FH. I would want to respect his wishes, but I would want as little problems as possible. The only way i would feel comfortable traveling with such a precious piece of jewelry is to wear it, which I wouldn't want to do until after the wedding.

Keep it in your purse.
I brought my engagement ring to CA in August when we moved here, and kept it in my purse in the box since I had to get it resized. I didn't have a problem.
I don't think it's 'bad luck' or anything to wear it now, I just don't think its necessary to wear it. Just keep it in a purse that zippers and I leave my purse on my lap the whole flight anyway.

Don't wear it...thats cheating!! You have to wait till your wedding day to wear it. (I'm supersticious)
I would just keep it in your bag in a ring box, or leave it at home.

I would just keep in ny. If I had to bring it though, I would keep it in the box and transport it myself in my purse or carryon.

We bought my wedding band when we were in St. Martaan...I wore it home...I didn't wnat to take a chance of loosing it.
