Beside the little things FMIL annoys me with, I am so happy we get along. This afternoon she is coming with me to get my haircut.
I hear many brides do not see eye to eye with their FMIL.........are there any brides out there that do?

I think that I am so lucky because I love my mother in law. She's really good to me and respectful of how my FH and I want to live our lives. She was a wonderful mother to my FH, and she has continued to be that way to both of us. With the stories I hear about some FMIL's, I honestly am dismayed.

I do... I even confide in her. She lives in FL, so we don't get to see her so much, but my FH and I are very lucky our respective in-laws like us.

yes, usually...just like you. sometimes she makes me want to kill myself, but most of the time, i love her...she's my second mom!

At first we got off to a 'strange' start to say the least. She didn't know me well when we got engaged, she was a woman of few words. Now we talk ALL THE TIME, I just finished e-mailing her a second ago! I consider myself very lucky in that regard. I know it won't always be perfect all the time but I'll take what I can get!!!

my fh's family is really great. I get along great with his mother - he is the last of five to get married and she is still so interested in every part of our plans and in helping out in every way she can!! (which i love bc she is so creative)

Same here. FMIL has 2 sons and no daughters. I am like the daughter she never had. Even during the Holidays she sets up a menorah (even though they are not Jewish). I even get 8 days of presents!!! Amazing, right? Even his father is great to me and asks me for help with his computer when needed. His brother on the other hand is a little jealous of us two.....but everything can't be perfect!

FMIL and I got off to a different start than most....since I have a daughter from my ex, she began treating me like a friend, confiding in me when things were bothering her...like evil FSIL...and she still does though she's become more of a surrogate mom....I've seen her cry over that evil wench and I've seen her cry over happy stuff that NO ONE else ever has....i feel really lucky to have her. (except when she is being a momzilla... )

I absolutely love my FMIL. She is one of the nicest, wisest, kindest people I have ever met. Its no wonder my FH is so amazing, look who raised him!

I'm very fortunate and get along great with my IL's. There were a couple of times during planning that I got a little annoyed, but that was mostly because of the stress.

i'm extremely lucky that i love my FMIL and she loves. I think we would adopt eachother if we could. we usually talk on the phone and emial eachother. we get pediures and manicures together. I couldn't ask for a better MIL.

in the beginning, we had some problems, but it got easier when i realized how much FH and she love each other. she's actually been very reasonable about the wedding planning and always willing to help (although I don't ask for much b/c I'm a control freak )

I consider myself very lucky because FMIL and I get along very well. She's very laidback and not demanding and she's so so excited about the wedding. She's been telling me for years that I am part of their family and how much everyine in her family adores me and can't wait for the wedding.
I wish more LIW girls could have that relationship with their FMILs! It's sad to see how many don't get along.

at first, FMIL wasn't the warmest person. FH and I have been dating since I was 17 and we always said hi to each other but never really took the time to get to know one another. it wasnt until we got engaged that she really opened up and now we have the best relationship! she's teaching me to cook and was so helpful with planning my shower! FH says she never warmed up because she never wanted to get to know any of her kids boyfriends or girlfriends until they knew it was serious. she didnt want to get close and then not have it work out. I love my IL's!!!!
