So I asked my FMIL to go to the Bridal Showcase tonight and it just doesn't seem like she wants to go. She called me up and didn't even say hi just said ' Is your thing today?' I said yes at 630 if you want to come with us you can.(last week she said she would meet us there) so she's like well i have to know where i'm at (work wise).
I just get the feeling that she doesn't want to come and that it's a huge burden on her that I asked her to go. I want to text FH and say if she has too much work to do that she doesn't have to come. but i don't know if i would come off b*tchy. This really bother me
Anyone have any suggestions?

I wouldn't even do that. She now knows what ttime it is, I would leave the decision up to her. If she wants to come, she will be there and if she comments about how much work she had, then you know for next time, don't invite her.

Re: FMIl...
hey......when i was in FL a few weeks back, I had asked my fmil to accompany me to go veil shopping at the Gables and she said yes and seemed excited. When it was time to go she decided that she had to clean the house and wait for UPS.....
Whatever.....FH was stuck driving me around and i was a bit pissed about that....but got over it.
ehhh i almost prefer to do things myself....I get more done that way

Re: FMIl...
i just thought it would be nice to 'include' her in something wedding related even though she never asks me anything about it. I want to text FH so badly and just say if she is too busy she doesn't have to come kind of thing. But at the same time I don't want it to sound like i don't want her to come.

Just tell her that if she has to much work to do that its okay to miss it and that she can always go to the next Bridal Showcase with you.
