i have one question........why ask me colors if u r gonna deliberately go and choose something else completely different and so close to the BMs color?! UGH!!!!! she put soooo much stress on me to give her a color to wear and i said Blue- annnnnnnnnnny shade of blue! my BMs are in silver by the way an d black--- so FMIL goes and calls me tellinng me she loves this lavendery-silver color and thats the one she thinks she is gonns get-----thats not blue..... pick ur battles huh ? ugh.

Re: FMIL
So far none of the mothers have went dress shopping but every single one of them asked me what color to get... It is going to be VERY interesting to see what they come up with.....
edited for spelling..

Re: FMIL
neither of the moms have gone shopping yet, but I haven't told them what color to wear, and I don't think I am going to. WHatever they are comfortable in is good with me :o)

Re: FMIL
no problems with that... i'm not having a BP so that makes it easy. even if we were it wouldn't be a big deal... my FMIL asked what color my mother is wearing and my mother basically said it didn't matter to her!

Re: FMIL
i hear ya on this one. my fmil is planning on wearing a sage green dress while my BMs will be in Celadon green....i cant go and tell her no, try a different color cause she wont take it well. and anything is better than the royal blue she was aiming towards in the beginning (blue def wont match my fall colored wedding)....or the cream colored dress thats practically the same color as my dress...

Re: FMIL
Well, FMIL told me yesterday she might get a black dress...if I thought it was a mourning jab I would have been annoyed, but it's totally not like that with her, so I wasn't upset by it. She knows what my mom is wearing, so she's not going to wear same colors, but may coordinate in the sense of a black separates piece with a colored skirt. I don't really care as long as either of them aren't wearing white.

Re: FMIL
Sort of, but it is my Mom. She has known since we got engaged that my colors are chocolate brown with pink accents. She chose a dress which she calls bronze, which is basically chocolate brown. She tried on other dresses for me, but I could tell in her tone and face that she wanted the bronze one. Sometimes you have to pick your battles.

Re: FMIL
Actually...neither of the Moms asked what color to wear. I let them get whatever they want... My FSIL texted me a pic of her Mom trying on the dress FMIL was getting....burgendy and very pretty...I show it to my Mom and she's like...'she knows she's going to a WEDDING right..?' The way I see it is no one is satisfied with anyone else! LOL

Re: FMIL
see thats the funny thing!! i ddnt want to tell them what colors to wear! i wanted them to choose what they wanted, just not the same color as the BMs- my lucjk has it they pushed and pushed to know colors, and i finally gave in and said: you both love how u look in blues, so both moms wear any shade of blue u feel ud like....so much for that idea

Yes!!!! I had this happen too. Honestly, everyone is going to be looking at you, and im sure Martha would approve of our color coordinated weddings I'd have a glass of wine and let this one go.

Re: FMIL
Well, FMIL wore RED to FSIL's weddings....
Since FMIL doesn't like me, nor does she know if she's coming, I'm thinking she will wear WHITE!
