i dont know yet if i will. she can be such a passive aggressive PITA that i dont know if i want her to see it. I have to ask FSIL and see if she took her to see it

Nope. She lives in NC and it's not even in yet. Not even sure they got their sample yet either!

I was just thinking about this. My FMIL doesnt live in NY but will be down here next week so I was thinking of surprising her and taking her to see it. But we are not the best of friends and if she says something negative we may have a problem. BUT I still think it would be something nice to do. IDK Im cofused

NOPE! i dont care if she likes it or not!!! She has done nothing except make our lives miserable when it comes to this wedding so I am not including her in anything!!!

My original plan was to take her to see the dress, flowers etc but than she turned and became nasty...screw her

yes, I want to include her as much as possible since FH is her only child and she is great! She is coming to my first fitting in January!

I showed her picture on my phone thats about all. FMIL is very traditional and jewish. She is already not thrilled her son is getting married in a catholic church so the fact my dress isnt traditional or all white was just the icing on the cake. but hey she just moved to florida i can live with the distance

I think I will just show her a picture after I order it and when it comes in, and I go for fittings, I'll invite her.

If i read the question right you wanted to know about FMIL's gown not mine so yes I went with her twice. It's my wedding so she wants my input. As for my gown I put money down and then brought her to see it. She bought me a headpiece to go with it?

I was going to bring her to my first fitting but she was soooo mad that I didn't bring he to pick out my dress that she flat out insulted the one I chose soooo now she can wait until the wedding to see it in person.

Yes. She came with my mom, my MOH and I when we went dress shopping. I'm close with her and she has no daughters of her own (3 boys) so I want to include her in as much of the planning as possible

I brought her when I ordered. My mom, sister, sister's gf, and two bridesmaids came along too. We had plans together that day anyways so it worked out. If that hadn't been the case I probably wouldn't have gone out of my way to let her see it in person.

If it was up to me, i would bring her but my mom doesnt really want anyone to see it until the day of. She wont even really let me bring my MOH to see it, even though when i go with all my BM next week to pick out their dresses i will have the sample there to try on for all of them... Maybe for my last fitting I will bring her... IDK...
