I'm having an issue with my FMIL (who isn't right?) WHY isn't she going to look for a dress, does she think it's going to magically appear the day of the wedding. Is anyone else in this situation? Why is it such a problem? How can I tactfully tell her GO SHOPPING FOR A DRESS!!!!!!!?????

What if you ask if you can go with her? If you could handle it?

Re: FMIL dress
Maybe she is waiting for you to offer to go with her? My mother didn't go for her gown until 2 months before the wedding and there were no time issues at all.

Re: FMIL dress
Well if it's any consolation; my mother has not looked for a dress yet.

My FMIL has not gone yet either, doesn't even have any idea what she wants. I agree if you can take it, ask her if you can go with her. Good Luck.

Re: FMIL dress
My Mom got hers two months before my wedding. I see your wedding is four months away. I wouldn't worry yet. If you really want her to go now, just offer to go with her. Say that you have a free evening this week and you wanted to know if she wanted to go with you.

Re: FMIL dress
you know what, let her worry about it! you have enough to worry about, she knows she has to wear a dress, so she'll get one! don't you be worrying about this!!! have FH ask her if she's looked yet.
