Anyone else have an evil FMIL? She has never been nice to me, but this past weekend my mom invited the FIL'S over to meet my Family. My grandparents, and aunt & uncle were there and FH & myself. Well, this woman was so mean and rude to my family they were shocked! She came late, wouldn't eat anything, made it known she skeeved my family because my mom has a cat, disagreed with everyone on everything, would not talk about the wedding, made nasty digs to each of my family members and capped it off by sneaking smokes in the bathroom!

That is so rude. My son's (both of them) in-laws and I get along so very well and I LOVE, LOVE my DIL'S. I am close with both of them and their families we even have holidays together at times.
I wish you luck but just try and ignore her because she has to be a very unhappy person if she goes out of her way to be rude and mean to others. Think of it as her being jealous of you.

Well at first FH said he didn't see her being any different than she normally is! I told him that that is not an excuse for being rude to people. Once he thought about everything that she did that night, he was upset. He is telling her that she needs to stop acting this way towards me. I hope that this will be the end of it, but I don't know. She will be the one to wear white to my wedding!

WOW...I'm sorry! At least FH realized that it was inappropriate and said something about it. Maybe she just needs her son to stand up to her for her to back down.
