FMIL poll .... answer honestly ....

I have never done anything to spite her. there are some things that I am very angry at her about but that is between her and my FH. to me she has been nothing but wonderful.
but if ur FMIL treats u like that, my passive agrassive side says she totally deserves it.
what i dont understand why u have to do anything she tells u to? is it b/c she is paying?

Well I guess there was this one time..........

Actually it was a few weeks ago on my birthday. FH, FBIL, and FSIL always make fun of FMIL because she buys sappy hallmark cards. So whenever she gives them to people, FH and FBIL make sure to grab it and read it out loud in a sappy voice. So my birthday was at the beginning of August, and when I opened my card, FH, FSIL, and FBIL were all taunting me to read it aloud. FMIL kept telling me that I better not. So I handed it over to FH to read

So then after she gives me my gift, she's holding another small box and tells me that she was going to give it to me in private, but since I let FH read the card aloud, now she wants to embarrass me. So I open it up in front of FH's whole family, and it's 'something blue' panties for the wedding But keep in mind, things like that don't really embarrass me, and it takes a whole lot more. So instead of being embarrassed, I took them out of the box and held them up for everyone to see....like Vanna White FMIL was MORTIFIED!!!!!!!!!!!


But I don't think that's really what you're looking for. As for something nasty or spiteful, that I wouldn't ever do, although I have wanted to at times.....

Nope, my FMIL is sooooo sweet..seriously, she hasnt done anything to make me upset yet J/K

We all work together, FH, his family and me, so I get a TON of opportunities!

There's a fish tank in front of the office and we had those small sharks once. Really cool things actually. So, one died and instead of flushing it down the toilet, I left it there for FMIL. When she went in there, she let out such a YELP!

Then I did it again when the other shark died. I'm so bad!

so about a year ago she wanted us to paint her living room....fine. so all she listens to is classical music so we brought some cd's with us to listen to while we were painting. we put in Sublime. well, she starts ranting about how terrible the music is. so FH says 'mom, you know this is dad's band right??' (they are divorced) and she is like 'omg figures your father is in some stupid band'........so we just went on and on about how FH's father is the drummer for a band called Sublime. Till this day, she still believes us, its too funny!!!

While I don't know what the OP's situation was since she deleted it, I will just say that YES, I have done a few things to intentionally annoy the FMIL.

Considering that she has told FH that he's a failure because he's not a doctor, she's told me that if we have premarital sex then SHE'LL go to hell (figure that one out), and she's told the both of us that we're on the fast track to hell because we're of different religions...well, I'd say she deserved it.

I can be the MOST passive-aggressive person you've ever met, and once I know that something irks you - even if it's something small like, say...leaving an empty cup on the coffee table for HOURS...I will do it. Proudly.

Let it be known that I learned from the master of all mother-in-laws...my dad's mother.

And since I'm on the fast track to hell, I figure I might as well go with gasoline-soaked shorts.

no i have never & would never. i have a great relationship with my FMIL. we work together so i see her 5 days a week for 8 hours a day. at first i thought it was going to be too much, but its really great.
i also like that if FH is really annoying me i totally tattle tail on him to her & she yells at him for me. she also has helped him see my perspective on things in the past.

I have a very good relationship with Fmil, Its funny because she complains about hers- lol ( she passed away in 1980's) but she really could not stand her Im very lucky I think she happy her son can annoy someone else besides her -lol
