FMIL & REHEARSAL DINNER INVITES

FMIL & REHEARSAL DINNER INVITES

If you FMIL is hosting your rehearsal dinner, and sending out invites, did she consult you with you before picking them out?

I know it might sound silly, but I know she ordered the invites and also received them, but I have no idea what they look like or what they say. Just wondering if any brides were consulted regarding the rehearsal dinner invites.

Thanks...

Yes FMIL is hosting, but she didn't want invites, so my MOH is making them and sending them out w/o FMIL seeing them.

My FILs are hosting the RD but I made my own invitations and are sending them out without them seeing them.

FILs are hosting rehearsal dinner. I am going to mention that I will be getting invites to see if she will offer to pay for them. But i want to pick them out myself.

My FMIL is hosting and ordered without showing me. They came out really nice although I don't care for the wording... Oh well.

My FILs are paying for the shower but they're not planning it, we are and that's not by choice. Quite frankly, I wouldn't care what the invites looked like or said if someone was doing all of the planning instead of me. Some of you may not agree, but I don't think it's the brides place to pick or even 'OK' the invitation choice. This is a party being thrown for you by someone else and I think you should graciously accept whatever your FILs do.

Believe me, I am not ungracious, I just don't even know what time she put on the invites...I need to ask

You should definitley find out the details of your RD, but that's it. Be the guest and let everyone else worry about the details. I'm sure you have plenty to worry about without adding anything more to your plate! Enjoy being the guest of honor!
