FMIL STRIKES AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

So like I said the other day my invites are out . FMIL calls FH the next night to tell him people got them. Reason? who knows? Obviously if we mailed them people were going to recieve them . He told her we should have a party b/c people recieved them. FH is not a big fan of FMIL.

She calls him today to ask why certain people were not invited with guests? Hello, you made me the list. I just copied what you wrote . She swears she wrote 'and guest' I say I will print her up the letter she e-mailed me, but my screen on my lap-top is broken so I have to have it fixed before I can SHOVE IT IN HER FACE!!!!!!!!!

So FH is all pissed off and tells her she is one of those mothers that makes wedding planning horrible!!! GO MIKE!!!!!!


She is not paying a penny for this wedding and has the nerve to call and keep trying to add people and demand things.

EXAMPLES:
****You know you should order so and so a corsage for the wedding.....
*****I need a limo ride to the FoxHollow and a limo ride home from the FoxHollow...
etc....

Sorry to hear that! Some people forget the fact that it is YOUR wedding and not theirs! At least your FH is supportive of you!

I love the fact that your FI is standing up against her!!!!! As for her imposing on things, I would simply, but politely give her the information she wants without offering to pay. When she says 'I need a limo to and from my home' just say 'Well here's my limo company's number. Since we are using them for our own transportation,maybe they will give you a discount when you order your own limo.'

I am a rude one. I would have told her all she is getting is a Metrocard.

That is such a good idea!!! You should do that. Easier said than done, huh?

Who has a party for receiving an invitation? Tell her to that she can throw a party is she pays for it. That is the silliest thing I have ever heard.

I hear you, I had many problems with my MIL while planning my wedding, but it's all good now, she is in NY I'm in Miami, son't have to see her

I'm sooooo sorry for you. I feel your pain. My FMIL has made comments about wanting to invite people who neither I nor my FH know. Her purpose... my side is double the side of his and she feels that his side will be as she stated, 'under represented.' And as like your situation, they are not paying for our wedding. So I feel your pain.

I totally agree with an earlier comment to provide her with the limo company you are using and even the florist for the extra flowers she wants.

Some people have a lot of nerve.
