Last night I spoke with my FMIL on the phone, trying to arrange what will be going on for Saturday. Well, to start off her having an attitude, I mentioned that we'll be seeing each other before hand. Now, we told her this a long time ago... well she is pissed! She says, 'Ian doesn't want that, why are you doing that?' She said other things, but it would take too long to post! So basically, according to her, I'm making him see me beforehand. Whatever! We discussed other stuff also, and basically, she did nothing but complain about everything that I've done or am going to do! I can't take it right now! I don't need this! I have no desire to even see her. AAAAaaaaaaaahhh!!! So top this off, my FI and I were fighting last night. What a wonderful night!!! Thanks for listening, just needed to vent!

Don't worry about it hun, at least she's *****ing over something like that and not over something more serious.. don't let her get to you.. ignore her ass.. I have had FMIL problems even before we got engaged...All in all, just think of it like this, you're getting married, this is a wonderful time for you both, and even though things are getting a little stressful right now, let's be honest, it's not the end of the world...things will be ok, just take a deep breath and relax...;) just ignore her, if she sees you getting all hot and flustered, she's gotten the exact reaction she was probably looking for..
My FMIL gets stressed out and says stupid things and sticks her nose here and there and I'm sure yours does too, but the way I look at it now is that it's her SON that is getting married and she wants EVERYTHING to be perfect, you know?

I'm sorry you're going through this. Stay strong and keep your chin up. Remember, it's your wedding, your day. Try not to let anyone upset you.

I'm sorry your FMIL said these things and upset you. Sometimes people don't even realize that they're stressing you out. I know its easier to say but try to ignore the comments. I'm sure she didn't intentionally try to upset you. She just wants everything to be perfect too.

My advise: Do not call any negative people this week. Let them worry about 'all that you are doing wrong' by themselves. Let your FH discuss details with his mother instead. This is NOT her wedding. She should keep her nasty comments to herself, but for some reasons weddings make people think their opinions are more valued then your own.

Girl let me tell you my MIL started some stuff and you know what I did. I stop telling her stuff. That way she found out everything the day of the wedding. Because she was getting on my last nerves and had something negative to say about everything so I said fine I will not tell her a darn thing and that I tell you is the best decision I made.

you do what YOU & fh want to do for your wedding and nothing more, norhing less. don't call her again this week, let him call her. if thats what you two agreed upon then so be it!
