FMIL vent

FMIL vent

So after a year of chasing FMIL down for a guest list and addresses, as you all know our invitations went out on Saturday... people started getting them today.... and FMIL sends FH an email with a list of 25 EFFING PEOPLE that she now decides she wants us to invite.

SORRY TOO LATE.

My favorite is his aunt in California who she insisted we NOT invite because 'she's old and won't be able to make the trip and will be insulted that you're asking for money' now ALL OF A FREAKIN SUDDEN she can't believe we excluded her.

What the frick is wrong with this woman?????

Couldn't call your son for his birthday but glad you're now making wedding related demands.

UUUUUUUGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH

That would make me furious! I would let your FH deal with her and don't get yourself stressed. That seems a little spiteful to me.

Re: FMIL vent

My ILs did the same thing and we had to keep sending invites out to people they decided to add--they actually decided to invite some friends three weeks before wedding and decided not even to send invites because they said the people would be insulted they didn't get invitations in the first place....well isn't a verbal invitation worse?!

If you can, just hand over invitations to her. They aren't your guests, when the people are insulted they didn't get an invite in the first place, its not on your shoulders, its on FMIL's.

Sorry you have to go through it. When I was going through it I thought, well at least my parents aren't the indecisive ones.

All of that goes to FH.....you shouldnt have to be bothered. You'll end up being the bad guy. Just let him deal w/ his mother.

Is this the same FMIL with the postage nonsense? Yikes!!

I'd have to use some serious deep breathing techniques between the postage and this. How is your FH responding to all this?

I wish I had something to say, but you know I feel your pain, esp since I just dealt with mine for almost a week. I'm here if you need some vent time.

Same crazy woman with the postage...

He just got off the phone with her and he's frustrated but I think he's just used to it. I'm like ready to yell and throw things and he's all 'they're never going to change'

But you're all right... I am going to just hand him a pen and a bunch of blank envelopes and tell him to go to town.
