FMIL vent (LONG)

hi girls... thanks for listening in advance...

i want to start with my FMIL is a very nice woman and i really like her. but she's driving me crazy with her 'whatever' attitude. while it is great she doesnt care about anything so she doesn't nag us, i am having a VERY HARD time trying to get her guest list from her.

when i first asked for her guest list so that we can have an idea of the total headcount. she just gave us a number. so i thought that's fine, as long as she gives me the names later on.

now, it's time to print envelopes and i had to ask her for names numerous times and wait 3 weeks before she gets her list together. AND the list is all inaccurate with wrong addresses and wrong spelling of names (relatives and friends names!!!!) and everything!!!!

i literally had to sit her down and go through the names one by one. when in doubt, she just doesn't care to check and insist that she is right! then, there is this canada address that i KNOW for sure is wrong because it doesn't have a zip code, i asked her 3 times and she still insisted that it is right.

what shoud i do?????????

Honestly, this should be something that your fh should be dealing with, meaning talking to her and really getting firm with her.
You don't want to start your life with them in a bad way, is not necessary.
Let him deal with his mom. jmo.

thanks, FH is already dealing with her, but she is still not responding. FH already asked her about the accuracy of the names and the addresses, and she just insists that they are correct, while there are some REALLY OBVIOUS mistakes.

when we point those mistakes out to her, she just laughs.
