FMIL vent , sorry long.

Ok, so a little back ground...we had our tasting 7/28- we waited so long because we wanted fmil to attend - she lives in fl in the winter and pa in the summer, so we made it convenient for her. Everything was wonderful - deliscious food, excellent service, wine for us and scotch for FH. They even set a table in the middle of the room so we had a perfect view of the Great South Bay. We also gave our moms full pick on the menu even though we are paying for the wedding. (my mom has helped a lot !!- flowers, my dress, shower, favors, extra cost of cake, etc.) Going forward, fh & I went to RH on Saturday to finalize our menu. The GM is a great guy ! We sat down at a table and with great concern he asked us if there were any problems w/ the RH in particular the tasting , did any members of his staff offend us ? He said he wanted to make sure we were still happy. Turns out the day after the tasting they received a phone call complaining about the tasting. We know it was not us and not my mom....leaves fmil. FH & I were so mortified, embarressed, etc. We apologized and just didn't know what to say.... Our gm like I said before is a great guy and said not to woryy about it as long as we are happy. Can you believe her ? Sh called and copmplained !!! MORTIFIED is all I can say. I feel even worse for FH -now he does not want to talk to her because he does not want to say something mean to her.

Sorry I had to let this out. Thanks to anyone who read this. Am I wrong for being mad ?

She should've addressed any concerns she had with you and FH first and let you handle it. I would comepletely feel mortified also.

Giving her the benefit of the doubt...were you the only tasting?? Maybe it was another person that complained.

OMG!!!! I would have been mortified too. The worst part is that you didn't even know about the phone call. Oh man... I'm sorry you had to go through this.

Hi date twin!!!!!

sorry you have to deal with this but that is so rude of her to do, if she had any concerns she should talk to you first and discuss it and then u and FH could deal with it the appropriate way!!!!

i hope everything works out for you both and its probably best to just put it behind you and focus on each other and having a wonderful wedding!!!!!!!

good luck!!!!!!!
