fmil Vent-this should be a daily subject!

So family calls up fh at 5:50 last night saying dinner for gmas bday was at 6-he was still working and there was no way we could make it. we went over her house later for cake and she didn't say more than 5 words to me-not one word about our engagement party-SO RUDE. Like how nice everything was or how much my rents did for the party. She didn't have a problem talking about when his gma said 'at the party I over heard 2 people saying-that's his mother it looks like his sister' to my fh replied 'great I look 50?' great answer. im so sick of hearing how she looks like his sister--she doesn't at all! I was like umm I didn't hear anyone say that. So when I was talking about the wedding she didn't say one thing so I didn't even look at her when I spoke about it. SO RUDE.

Any other fmil vents?

I had an exboyfriend who has a very troublesome ex-girlfriend. You know, the kind that won't just quiet down and be appropriate because she wants him back. So I ignore her and eventually he does too because he's tired of the 2 am text messages and phone calls. So one night we come home and his dad is at the movies with her. Turns out she gets info from his dad by chatting on AIM and they hang out from time to time which I thought was an excuse to be allowed over the house. He asked his dad to stop talking to her and he was like 'I'm not gonna cut her out of my life like you did t oher, it wasn't right' OMG I was living in candyland with that one

EDA: I'm lucky that my FIL's only say negative stuff about FH's exes.

That is insanity.

FMIL lives in FL. I have never met her... I've spoken to her a grand total of twice on the phone. She's spoken to my mom once.

FH asked her for a list of addresses so we can send out STDs. 'Oh, but your uncle has your Grandfather's funeral book (I guess that's where the addresses are.) And he's sleeping right now.' 'OK, I'll call back tomorrow.' 'Well, why bother... it's not like any of us can afford to come.'

1. The fcuk? Sending an invitation is a sign of respect.

2. Did you just say YOU'RE NOT COMING TO YOUR SON'S wedding?! You have had 22 MONTHS to save money. We got you a free room at the Fox Hollow Inn... which is RIGHT NEXT DOOR TO THE RH! Plane tickets for three people can't be that bad.

hearing these stories makes me appreciate my FMIL more and more. I can't believe I used to vent over her, cause the way she used to be is nothing compared to urs. FH sys she likes me more than him

ahhh fmil venting :)

fmil gets to me about the wedding. she isnt involved what so ever, and its prob better off that way. she also tries to tell me what to do in the house like dont put my glass on wood table etc, and i just feel like um, this isnt your table, go home and do what you want to your table!!

My FMIL has not said a word about the wedding or asked me about a thing since she told FH and me it wasnt about the two of us ...she just complains to FH about EVERYTHING we do.

Did I mention shes on marriage #5 or 6???
