A Champange-colored dress. She saw th teal BM dresses that I think I want, and thinks the lighter color will coordinate with the BP. I'm a little worried abou that. My dress is ivory. WIll the colors look too similar in pics?

go to a bridal shop and put a dress her color next to a dress your color & take a photo-- they might not look as close in person as they will in pics.... me personally?? Anything even closely related to the white family is STRICTLY forbidden!!!
(I was thinking of having a trunk of various dress colors to offer to any guest that shows up in white. It could be in the lobby and they'd just have to change before they were allowed in the reception.... then I thought that may be taking it too far!! )

hmmmm champagne is really pushing it, and she should know that as well.......... I mean its just a dress, but their is the rule as to not wear the same color as the bride.... talk her into goldish or tan....

{{sigh}} That's whaat I thought. For those of you that remember, she announced that she wanted a navy dress, so that was out of the question for the bridesmaids. I think I'm getting a teal dress for the BM, order an ivory gown... and then she announces that she wants THAT color instead.
Am I being a bridezilla? Am I taking this too seriously?

I dont think so. I tried on a sample dress on that was in champagne because they didnt have an ivory one and it was much darker then the ivory.

honestly i was deciding between either champagne or ivory for my dress and they are very close to each other. I agree with you. she should wear the same color as you or even close to you. why are FMIL's so weird??? my FMIL wants to wear either the same dress as my mom (different colors) or same color (different dress) how weird is that??? My mom and i both looked at eachother and laughed!

that sounds like a red flag to me.....
Id find another color that goes with the teal and express to her how much u love that color and how good it would look on her and how it would compliment the teal so much more than the champange would....sine you are already doing that!
