FMIL wearing black?

FMIL wearing black?

What color dress is your FMIL wearing?
The reason I ask is because my FMIL showed me the dress she found and it is black for a winter wedding.
Are any other FMIL's wearing black???

my FMIL didnt wear black but my mom did - granted it had silver in it also in the gown portion it definitely wasnt a morbid black. I personally think black is VERY elegant - in fact I wanted black bridesmaids dresses - although DH and a couple of my BMs thought it would be too much like a funeral.

I think as long the black dress cant be worn at a funeral - then i think the dress is fine - IMHO.

My FMIL is wearing bronze with a bit of black in it. My mom and BM's are wearing black though. IMO, I think it's elegant.

Both my mom and my fmil are wearing black, they are very different from eachother because of the cut, neckline, embroidery/beads, etc. They were a little nervous about it, but honestly I feel like black is always in style and as others have said, it is classy and elegant. The most important thing is she feels comfortable and feels good about herself in it. Good luck!

Okay..well it makes me feel better to know that other mothers and BM's will be wearing black. I wasn't sure how I felt about black at first... it's all black.

My BM's will be wearing pink OR most likely cranberry. My mom loves Navy blue..but she is still looking for a dress.

I love color so I was a little uncertain at first.

my mother was going to wear black, without a doubt in her mind. and i had absolutely NO problem with it! i personally love black and as the others have said, think its very elegant and classy! she went this weekend, hated all the black dresses she tried on and LOVED a silver 3 piece outfit. i had to drive all the way out to estelles so i could see it! it was so so beautiful. she put a deposit for them to hold it for a week (it was only her second store and she wanted to look a little more) but she keeps going back to 'her dress' so i think silver it is! its actually a grayish w/ lace and beading and sounded so ugly when she was describing it hahaha but it was so nice!

My fmil is so funny cause she made me come look at a dress that she found to get my 'permission'. they are so crazy, I could care less as long as they are comfortable and feel beautiful. fmil's is like an eggshell, maybe a little darker, the entire thing is beading as well, the best part, she got it on sale from 1800 to 600

the woman at the store gave me a hug when i said how beautiful it was, she said some brides wouldnt allow their fmil to wear that color..

like I said, as long as they feel beautiful in it, that is all i really cared about....
